Students from Kapiʻolani<\/span> Community College<\/a>, the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo<\/a> and UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa<\/a> turned in a strong, across-the-board performance at the 13th Annual Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA<\/abbr>)—Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference held on Oʻahu<\/span>, with many delegates placing in their respective events.<\/p>\n

              About HOSA<\/abbr><\/h2>\n

              HOSA<\/abbr> is a nationwide, student-led organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education.<\/p>\n

              The newest Career and Technical Student Organization, HOSA<\/abbr> continues to thrive in the State of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>. After becoming chartered in 2005 with 210 members representing twelve schools, Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> HOSA<\/abbr> has since become established at twenty-three of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s high schools and eight postsecondary institutions with a current membership total exceeding 1,200 members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
