Morning sessions will be held in the iLAB (Building 37) and afternoon sessions will be held in Kuykendall 101 auditorium and courtyard. <\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the celebration include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keynote and workshop with Rajiv Jhangiani, one of the world&#8217;s most informed proponents of <abbr title=\"Open Educational Resources\">OER<\/abbr>  <\/li>\n<li><abbr>UH<\/abbrv> M\u0101noa <abbr>OER<\/abbr> grantee project teams showcase of work tailored to <abbr>UH<\/abbrv> students (plus light refreshments) <\/li>\n<li>Panels with faculty\/instructors on what it takes to &ldquo;go open&rdquo; and the future of <abbr>OER<\/abbr> in the <abbr>UH<\/abbrv> System <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/go.hawaii.edu\/fkc\">Register online<\/a> as space is limited. <a href=\"http:\/\/go.hawaii.edu\/Zkf\">Sessions will also be livestreamed<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oer.hawaii.edu\/open-education-week-2018\/\">Go to the <abbr>OER<\/abbr> website for a complete schedule.<\/a> <\/p>\n<h2>More about Open Educational Resources<\/h2>\n<p><abbr>OER<\/abbr> are free instructional materials anyone can customize for their own learning or teaching. <abbr>OER<\/abbr> have the potential to lower the cost of education, improve student success, give faculty more control over their instructional materials, and enable new ways of learning.<\/p>\n<h2>Submit proposals for <abbr>OER<\/abbr> textbook projects<\/h2>\n<p>Outreach College invites <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa faculty to submit proposals for <abbr>OER<\/abbr> textbook projects during summer and fall of 2018. Deadline is April 2.
