Richardson School of Law<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> tops the nation as the best school for Asian students, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bluetoad.com\/publication\/frame.php?i=468824&#038;p=&#038;pn=&#038;ver=html5\">Winter 2018 issue of <em>preLaw Magazine<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The law school\u2019s percentage of Asian students is 23.9, with 47.9 percent of the faculty of Asian background, according to most recent statistics available to <em>preLaw<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The magazine quotes the <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> law school Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/personnel\/soifer\/aviam\"><strong>Avi Soifer<\/strong><\/a>, who notes that diversity has always been part of the school\u2019s strengths. &ldquo;Diversity is not simply recognized, it\u2019s celebrated,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Soifer said the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> law school attracts many students of Asian descent because of its rich offering in Asian law courses and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/pals\/pacific-asian-law-program\">Pacific-Asian Legal Studies Program<\/a> and certificate. There are classes in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Filipino law, offerings that are major pluses in a globalized world that continues to draw Asian-related legal work to U.S. law firms, he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the same <em>preLaw<\/em> Winter 2018 issue, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> was ranked among the 25 best law schools for clerkships, considered important learning experiences and networking opportunities for recent graduates.
