Donors included alumni, community members, private foundations and corporations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donna Vuchinich<\/strong>, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Foundation president and <abbr>CEO<\/abbr> said, &ldquo;Every day we have the privilege of hearing from students and faculty who share how private support is making a difference in their lives. From funding globally recognized research in critical areas that affect us all including cancer and our environment, to making a quality college education possible, donors are making a difference. Many of our donors are former and current faculty and staff. We are most grateful to each and every donor for their vision and generosity. Mahalo!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Vuchinich continued, &ldquo;It is impossible to quantify the impact donors make on our state, or to tell every story in which they play a part, so our annual report offers a representative sample of how their gifts impact <abbr>UH<\/abbr> campuses statewide. Thanks to our partners at <abbr>UH<\/abbr>, and donors\u2019 ambitious philanthropy, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> is driving <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s social, cultural and economic well-being;
