The Â鶹´«Ã½Termite Project invites to the public to learn more about termites, which are responsible for over $10 million in damage to homes throughout the state. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u00a0Termite Project<\/a>\u00a0in the College of Tropical\u00a0Agriculture and Human Resources<\/a> will hold a\u00a0free termite informational seminar on Thursday, June 7, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Windward Community College.<\/p>\n

The UH<\/abbr> Termite Project: Educate to Eradicate addresses research, extension and instruction, and brings scientists together with the community in an effort to control termite damage to residences and public buildings.<\/p>\n

Homeowners who register to attend the free public seminar will learn interesting facts about these wood-eating insects, including termite identification and biology. They will get tips on prevention and control from UH<\/abbr> termite expert Julian Yates<\/strong>.\u00a0Participants will also be able to ask questions and get answers about termites and their\u00a0impact on\u00a0homes.<\/p>\n
