University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> experts discuss anticipated climate change impacts on Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at panel discussions following free screenings of Chasing Ice<\/em> and Chasing Coral<\/em> at the Honolulu Museum of Art<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Chasing Ice<\/em><\/h2>\n

Chasing Ice<\/em><\/a> follows director Jeff Orlowski and renowned National Geographic photographer James Balog on a mission to place 30 cameras across three continents to gather visual evidence of the Earth\u2019s melting ice. <\/p>\n

Chasing Ice<\/em> will be shown on Saturday, August 26, 1 p.m. at the Doris Duke Theatre.<\/p>\n

The post-film panel discussion features UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa climate change experts Maxine Burkett<\/strong><\/a>, Camilo Mora<\/strong><\/a> and Malia Nobrega-Olivera<\/strong><\/a>, and will be moderated by Matthew K. Lynch<\/strong> from the UH<\/abbr> Office of Sustainability<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chasing Coral<\/em><\/h2>\n

Chasing Coral<\/em><\/a> follows a group of coral experts including Ruth Gates<\/strong><\/a> from the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Institute of Marine Biology<\/a> to capture our changing oceans, and finds that coral reefs around the world are vanishing at an unprecedented rate.<\/p>\n

Chasing Coral<\/em> will be shown on Sunday, August 27, 1 p.m. at the Doris Duke Theatre.<\/p>\n

The post-film panel discussion features UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa marine biology experts Robert H. Richmond<\/strong><\/a>, Shayle Matsuda<\/strong><\/a> and Cynthia L. Hunter<\/strong><\/a>, as well as Josh Stanbro from the newly established Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency at the City and County of Honolulu. The panel will be moderated by Jim Simon, Honolulu Civil Beat<\/em><\/a> managing editor. <\/p>\n
