2017 Outstanding Lecturer Award<\/h2>\n

Westin ʻEhukai Carvalho<\/strong>
\nLecturer, Hawaiian language
\nCarvalho brings a passion to his work that inspires those around him and is warmly recommended by faculty and students alike. A full time teacher at Waipahu Intermediate School, Carvalho utilizes his time at the Leeward campus leading students in community service learning projects. His innovative teaching has a clear impact on the lives of his students and community, as does his commitment to professional growth and development.<\/p>\n

\nClerk, Educational Media Center
\nMano has served the college for more than 30 years as an administrative support member and leader and is the ultimate team player. She is highly recommended by a large number of campus staff members who note the ways Mano contributes to the Educational Media Center and the campus as a whole. Mano brings a positive and vibrant energy and a commitment to helping everyone she can. She consistently goes above and beyond to selflessly solve problems and to bring aloha into the office.<\/p>\n
