In addition, he leads a website group that does penetration testing as a community service for local companies.<\/p>\n<p>To be in tune with industry, Weeks has done informal research in collaboration with his professor on various <abbr title=\"Information Technology\">IT<\/abbr> industry (<abbr title=\"Computing Technology Industry Association\">CompTIA<\/abbr>) trade certifications and has earned certifications in A+, Network+ and Security+ with plans to pursue further industry recognized certifications. He has also attended numerous information technology events including the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Information Communication and Technology student mixer and EnergySec Infrastructure Security workshops, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Weeks serves as a mentor to fellow students, spending much time in the computer lab studying or collaborating with them. He works conscientiously to be an advocate for students and communicates with professors to provide feedback.
