CHASING CORAL<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Coral reefs are the nursery for all life in the oceans, a remarkable ecosystem that sustains us, yet with carbon emissions warming the seas coral bleaching—a sign of mass coral death—has been accelerating around the world and is silently raging. Jeff Orlowski, who also directed CHASING ICE<\/em>, which created irrefutable, visual proof of the melting ice caps, sets out to show the scale and implication of the underwater catastrophe in CHASING CORAL<\/em><\/a>. The documentary features Ruth Gates<\/strong><\/a>, director of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Institute of Marine Biology<\/a>, and her research to save coral reefs around the world.<\/p>\n

CHASING CORAL will be showing at the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> International Film Festival<\/a> on April 9, 7:30 p.m. at Dole Cannery.<\/m><\/p>\n
