Out-of-state students interested in exploring sustainability issues in an island context are invited to apply to the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Summer GREEN Program<\/a>. The 14-day immersive travel experience is being offered by the UH<\/abbr> Office of Sustainability<\/a>, Outreach College<\/a>, the UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Department of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences<\/a> (TPSS) and The Green Program.<\/p>\n

Selected applicants will be delegates at the World Youth Congress (WYC) 2017 and participate in a global gathering of the next generation of sustainability leaders. WYC<\/abbr> serves as a chance for active, innovative and capable young leaders from all over the globe to come together for a week-long event packed with activities.<\/p>\n

Leading up to the congress, students will take classes from Noa Lincoln<\/strong><\/a>, assistant professor of indigenous crops and cropping systems in the TPSS <\/abbr> department. Students also have the opportunity to earn college credits during this summer program.<\/p>\n
