Saltchuk Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> gifted $150,000 to the Shidler College of Business.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Shidler College of Business<\/a> at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a> received a gift of $150,000 for scholarships from Saltchuk Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a> companies, which is comprised of Aloha Air Cargo, Maui\/Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Petroleum, and Young Brothers. Since 2006, Saltchuk Resources, Inc. and its Saltchuk Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> companies have donated approximately $680,000 in scholarships to the Shidler College of Business, affirming their commitment to developing future business leaders on the Neighbor Islands and supporting the communities they serve.<\/p>\n

The scholarship gift will be used to help Neighbor Island students enrolled in the 2016–2018 Distance Learning Executive MBA<\/abbr> program. The scholarship will be awarded based on community service, merit and financial need. To be eligible, students must work on Kauaʻi<\/span>, Maui, Molokaʻi<\/span>, L\u0101naʻi<\/span> or Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Island and be a State of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> resident.<\/p>\n

Distance Learning Executive MBA<\/abbr> student A. Eunny Cook<\/strong> from Maui said, “I am sincerely grateful to Saltchuk Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Companies for their substantial scholarship. This scholarship has afforded all of us from the Neighbor Islands to come together and be part of this transformational experience.”<\/p>\n

The 22-month Distance Learning Executive MBA<\/abbr> program provides a unique hybrid approach to teaching that combines the Internet, state-of-the-art distance learning technology and traditional teaching methods.
