The two-story room includes four themed corners, a main area for meetings, high-speed internet access and office spaces for program personnel. Together with modern decor and modular furniture, s<abbr>PACE<\/abbr> is uniquely designed to inspire collaboration, creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We wanted to welcome students, faculty and the business community to s<abbr>PACE<\/abbr> this week,&rdquo; said <abbr>PACE<\/abbr> Executive Director <a href=\"http:\/\/shidler.hawaii.edu\/directory\/susan-yamada\"><strong>Susan Yamada<\/strong><\/a>. &ldquo;Each day this week we have hosted different collaborative and creative programs with students, faculty, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> staff and business professionals. sPACE has risen to the occasion by accommodating each event with the flexibility for which it was designed.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50610\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50610\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/manoa-shidler-space-f.jpg\" alt=\"A group of people judging the spaghetti and marshmallow exercise\" width=\"620\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-50610\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">During the s<abbr>PACE<\/abbr> opening students tackled a Warrior Creativity Challenge and built the tallest tower that they could to support a marshmallow with materials like spaghetti and string.
