She forged new ground with fellow regents, pioneering the first sustainability and divestment policy for the university. Known for her financial acumen, she rewrote the personnel policies for executive and managerial personnel to be more fiscally responsible and responsive.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Related: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2015\/05\/21\/board-of-regents-approves-fossil-fuel-divestment\/\">Board of Regents approves fossil fuel divestment<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In her five year tenure on the board, Matayoshi served on nearly all committees and most significantly, took on the leadership role as chair for the <a href=\"http:\/\/hawaii.edu\/offices\/bor\/legal\/\">Committee on Personnel<\/a> for four years. She also participated in a number of task groups on investments, career and technical education, real estate and sustainability and divestment. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Coralie has been tireless in her efforts to improve the university,&rdquo; said BOR Chair <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/admin\/regents\/index.php?regent=moore\">Randolph Moore<\/a><\/strong>. &ldquo;I am sorry that she opted not to sign up again.
