UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Undergraduate Showcase<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a> undergraduate students from all fields of study will present their faculty-supervised research project or creative work at the Undergraduate Showcase<\/a> on Friday, May 6.<\/p>\n

This free and open-to-the-public event will feature 130 presentations and posters by 150 undergraduate students in the disciplines of arts and humanities, engineering and computer sciences, natural sciences and social sciences.<\/p>\n

The morning begins at Sakamaki Hall the first oral session at 8:30 a.m.<\/abbr> The event will shift to the Campus Center Ballroom, with a complimentary lunch at 12:30 p.m.<\/abbr> and the poster session at 1:30 p.m.<\/abbr> <\/p>\n

This year’s presentations include titles such as Mama Don’t Let Your Daughters Grow Up To Be Housewives<\/em>, Weeding Out Crime: CPTED<\/abbr> in Oʻahu<\/span>’s Weed and Seed Neighborhoods<\/em>, 3D<\/abbr> Scanning in the Field: Developing a Visualization System for Archaeological Artifacts<\/em>, Panic, It’s Organic! The Most Desensitized Food Term in the United States<\/em> and Let’s Talk Food: Identifying Attitudes Toward Healthy Eating in College Students<\/em>. <\/p>\n

The Undergraduate Showcase is sponsored by the UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Office of Undergraduate Education. The event highlights the outstanding research and creative work produced by talented undergraduate students across campus at the end of fall and spring semesters.<\/p>\n
