University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo’s<\/a> Neal Nagao<\/strong> was honored with the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> President’s Award for Excellence in Building and Ground Maintenance.<\/p>\n

The award is given to an individuals who has exhibited sustained superior performance in a maintenance, landscaping, custodial or trucking position.<\/p>\n

Nagao, a building maintenance supervisor, has worked at UH<\/abbr> Hilo for more than 27 years. He began as UH<\/abbr> Hilo’s only electrician and was later promoted to the campus’ only maintenance supervisor.<\/p>\n

His peers and supervisors describe Nagao as having a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong><\/a> and Board of Regent Chair Randy Moore<\/strong><\/a> presented Nagao with his award during the UH<\/abbr> Board of Regents<\/a> meeting at UH<\/abbr> Hilo on February 25.<\/p>\n

“Neal Nagao has been praised for keeping UH<\/abbr> Hilo one of the best maintained campuses while working with limited resources. He has also mentored a great team here,” said Lassner. “Congratulations and thank you for your dedication to the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>.” <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
