Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution<\/a> at the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M&#257;noa, will be honored at the Women Making History Awards Celebration and Book Signing Luncheon along with other honorees on Sunday, March 6.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other honorees<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deborah Smith Pegues, keynote speaker and best-selling author<\/li>\n<li>Vicky Holt Takamine, co-founder and executive director of <span aria-label=\"PAI\">PA&#699;I<\/span> Foundation, an arts organization that is established to preserve Hawaiian culture<\/li>\n<li>Colonel Celethia Abner-Wise, chief nurse\/chief of clinical operations at 18th Medical Command (deployment support), Fort Shafter<\/li>\n<li>Kathryn Xian, award-winning organizer and filmmaker, non-executive director of Girl Fest and the executive director of the Pacific Alliance to Stop Slavery<\/li>\n<li>Daphne E. Barbee Wooten, civil rights attorney and published author and videographer<\/li>\n<li>Lori Chaffin, publisher of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Wellness Directory\/Magazine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Luncheon information<\/h2>\n<p>The awards luncheon will be held on March 6, 11 a.m.&#8211;2 p.m. at the Honolulu Country Club.
