Lum received a grand prize of an $100 <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Bookstores gift card and a West is Best T-shirt with her design.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;My thoughts were to create a design that is clean and modern and that everyone can read,&rdquo; she\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>Lum applied typography skills learned in her <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> creative media coursework to present West is Best in a bold, sans serif font below the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> seal.<\/p>\n<p>The 2015 campus shirt contest was open to student designs only. <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> Bookstore manager <strong>Kory Uramoto-Wong<\/strong> plans to repeat the contest for a third time in fall 2016.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&#8217;m going to start a collection of these shirts, with winners&#8217; autographs,&rdquo; Uramoto-Wong said. &ldquo;I&#8217;m creating a wall of fame in our store.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2015\/03\/06\/student-designed-t-shirt-debuts-at-uh-west-oahu-bookstore\/\">&ldquo;Student-designed T-shirt debuts at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> Bookstore,&rdquo;<\/a> March 6, 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Where to buy the West is Best T-shirts<\/h2>\n<p>West is Best T-shirts may be purchased at the West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> Bookstore, located on the second floor of <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> Campus Center and online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookstore.hawaii.edu\/westoahu\/home.aspx\">www.bookstore.hawaii.edu\/westoahu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><abbr>UH<\/abbr> students receive a discount on their first West is Best shirt purchased with valid student <abbr title=\"identification\">ID<\/abbr>.
