Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Community College<\/a> invites the community to the 3rd Annual Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> Day on Friday, F\u00adebruary 26, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Manono Campus in Hilo.<\/p>\n

The day will begin with a kīpaepae welina. Visitors can then spend time at the interactive exhibits presented by the college’s academic programs and student services.<\/p>\n

“Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> Day provides an inside look at our programs and the various ways we serve Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Island,” said Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> Interim Chancellor Joni Onishi<\/strong>. “The academic programs always present engaging displays and many Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> students and faculty members will be present to answer questions.”<\/p>\n

Hundreds of middle and high school students from Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Island schools attend the event each year.<\/p>\n

“By engaging middle and high school students on our campus we hope to instill in them the importance of higher education,” said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jason Cifra<\/strong>. “We also want to demonstrate that Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> is a welcoming campus where students can study a wide range of subjects.”<\/p>\n
