Participation will be free of charge and open to all <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> residents.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participating Maunakea Observatories includes the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfht.hawaii.edu\/\">Canada-France-<span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Telescope<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gemini.edu\/\">Gemini Observatory<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaobservatory.org\/jcmt\/\">James Clerk Maxwell Telescope<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/irtfweb.ifa.hawaii.edu\/\">NASA Infrared Telescope Facility<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.subarutelescope.org\/\">Subaru Telescope<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfa.harvard.edu\/sma\/\">Submillimeter Array<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckobservatory.org\/\">W.M. It is our sincere hope that this program will inspire a passion among <span aria-label=\"kamaaina\">kama&#699;&#257;ina<\/span> for astronomy and an appreciation for the cultural and environmental future of Maunakea.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The <span aria-label=\"Kamaaina\">Kama&#699;&#257;ina<\/span> Observatory Experience will launch in early 2016 and will be open once a month to individuals 16 and older with a valid <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> <abbr title=\"identification\">ID<\/abbr>.
