The UH<\/abbr> Mānoa team was the 2014 Aloha United Way softball champions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In support of the 2015 Aloha United Way<\/a> (AUW<\/abbr>) Oʻahu<\/span> Campaign, the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a> will hold the 9th UH<\/abbr> Charity Softball Tournament<\/a> benefiting AUW<\/abbr> on Friday, October 9, 2015 starting at 5 p.m. at UH<\/abbr> Mānoa’s Les Murakami Stadium.<\/p>\n

Teams from the six UH<\/abbr> Oʻahu<\/span> campuses—UH<\/abbr> Mānoa<\/a>, UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a>, Honolulu Community College<\/a>, Kapiʻolani<\/span> Community College<\/a>, Leeward Community College<\/a> and Windward Community College<\/a> along with University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> System—will compete in the double elimination tournament for bragging rights and the coveted tournament trophy.<\/p>\n

The softball team whose campus\/system has the highest percentage of contributors to AUW<\/abbr> by noon, Wednesday, October 7, will win a “bye” in the first round of play. The second and third highest percentage of contributors will win a two-run and one-run advantage, respectively, in one of their teams’ first two games. The winner of last year’s competition was Leeward Community College.<\/p>\n

Come and support your favorite team. There will be door prizes and Sodexo food service will be available.<\/p>\n
