The newest exhibit at Windward Community College’s Gallery ʻIolani<\/span><\/a> is sure to challenge the way viewers think of those who live with disabilities. REVEALED, The Myth of Disability<\/em>, features the work of 20 full-time artists who live with a disability and use art as a form of expression.<\/p>\n

Artists featured in the exhibit include Judith Kim, Mikki O’Phaelan, Gordon Sasaki, Adella Busse, Mike Yano, Kay Mura, Alison Bailes, Bruce Johnson, Wendy Kamai, Susan Fonseca, Sarah White, Dennis Okada, Isa Shimizu, Jan Mitchell, Ethel Nishikawa, Donald Okimoto and Kumiko Tobara.<\/p>\n

REVEALED, The Myth of Disability<\/em> will be showing at Gallery ʻIolani<\/span> through October 9. Gallery hours are from 1–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Sundays (closed on Saturdays). The gallery will also be open during Windward Hoʻolauleʻa<\/span> on Saturday, October 3, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.<\/p>\n

About Gallery ʻIolani<\/span><\/h2>\n

Gallery ʻIolani<\/span> celebrates 23 years of exhibitions at Windward CC<\/abbr> and is recognized as one of the finest exhibition sites in the state of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, showing work from local, national and international venues.<\/p>\n

The gallery also serves as a classroom for students studying gallery design and management at Windward CC<\/abbr>. Gallery ʻIolani<\/span> is located adjacent to Palikū Theatre in the Hale Pālanakila complex.<\/p>\n
