John McNamara<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

John McNamara<\/strong>, who has served as associate athletics director for external affairs at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Athletics Department<\/a> since 2004, will leave UH<\/abbr> effective March 3, 2016. During the next few months, McNamara’s role within the department will be to continue as an associate athletics director and assist with transitional issues.<\/p>\n

“I thoroughly enjoy being a member of the UH<\/abbr> Athletics ʻohana<\/span> and working with our wonderful coaches, staff, fans, media and corporate partners,” McNamara said. “After ten-plus years at UH<\/abbr> and 31 years in athletics administration overall, I now look forward to pursuing new career challenges and opportunities. There have been many great accomplishments over the last decade and, with the talented external affairs staff that is in place, I\u2019m sure there will be many more in the years ahead.”<\/p>\n

Said UH<\/abbr> Athletics Director Dave Matlin<\/strong>, “I’d like to thank John for providing his leadership for various external affairs departments.
