Camron, who is battling cancer, hopes to one day attend <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa and aspires to become a marine biologist.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_36663\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36663\" style=\"width: 362px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/manoa-hulsey-marinescience.jpg\" alt=\"Hulsey with sea cucumber\" width=\"362\" height=\"504\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36663\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/manoa-hulsey-marinescience.jpg 362w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/manoa-hulsey-marinescience-187x260.jpg 187w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 362px) 100vw, 362px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-36663\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hulsey gets up close with marine life.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The two-day tour began with M&#257;noa Chancellor <strong>Robert Bley-Vroman<\/strong> leading a surprise welcome rally for Wish Teen Camron and her family. The rally included a Hawaiian oli (chant) and lei presentations, and culminated with Vice Chancellor <strong>Lori Ideta<\/strong> awarding Camron with a Conditional Certificate of Acceptance to <abbr>UH<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>The campus tour continued with a visit to the marine biology labs, Campus Center, Warrior Recreation Center and student housing. The second day was an exclusive visit to the university&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/himb\/index.html\">marine research facility on Coconut Island<\/a>, which was playfully renamed &ldquo;Camron Island&rdquo; for a day in honor of her visit.
