Students in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Music Institute<\/a> classes at Windward Community College<\/a> will perform in a weeklong series of spring concerts at Palikū Theatre<\/a>. Special musical guests will join students in some of the concerts.<\/p>\n

Piano Program Concert
\nTuesday, May 5, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nPiano students under the direction of So Jin Kimura<\/strong> will perform solos, duets, trios and quartets. Students from the Piano 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes will entertain with music from the classical through modern periods. For more information, contact Kimura via email<\/a> or at (808) 236-9145.<\/p>\n

Hanauna Mele
\nWednesday, May 6, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nʻUkulele<\/span> and slack key guitar students from Windward CC<\/abbr> and UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> will perform under the direction of Kamuela Kimokeo<\/strong>. Special guest artists Maunalua. For more information, contact Kimokeo via email<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hawaiian Music Night
\nThursday, May 7, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nSolo and ensemble performances by students from Professor Ron Loo’s<\/strong> Kī Hoʻalu<\/span> (slack key) guitar class and Kaʻala<\/span> Carmack’s<\/strong> voice class. Special appearance by students from the Introduction to Hawaiian Music class taught by Kaʻala<\/span> Carmack and assisted by Teresa Bright playing indigneous Hawaiian instruments while singing with Windward CC<\/abbr> choir and voice students.<\/p>\n

An Evening of Solo Voice and Choral Music
\nFriday, May 8, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nMusic performed by vocal students of Kaʻala<\/span> Carmack. An eclectic program of various styles from Elizabethan music through popular and from folk songs to Broadway.<\/p>\n
