Justin Chon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Academy for Creative Media<\/a> and the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> will host a Creative Media Masters Series presentation featuring actor and director Justin Chon on April 30, 12:30–1:20 p.m. at the UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Library ʻUluʻulu<\/span> exhibition space. The presentation is free and open to students, faculty and the public.<\/p>\n

Chon will discuss his career and creative influences, which will be followed by a question and answer session with UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> students. Chon is best known from 21 and Over<\/em>, The Twilight Saga<\/em> and as a constant presence on YouTube, often with his buddy Kev Jumba.<\/p>\n

A southern California native, Chon’s career began in 2005 when he appeared in the acclaimed TV<\/abbr> series Jack and Bobby<\/em>, then as Peter Wu in the Disney Channel film Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior<\/em> and as Tony Lee in the Nickelodeon sitcom Just Jordan<\/em>. Chon has also starred, produced and directed two films in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>—Hang Loose<\/em> and Man Up<\/em>. He recently starred in Revenge of the Green Dragons<\/em> and his latest film, Seoul Searching<\/em>, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.<\/p>\n

The masters series is part of UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>’s creative media concentration and it aims to increase student understanding of the art and business of content creation. <\/p>\n
