Festivities will take place from March 16&#8211;19. All events are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Featured activities will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Memories of Inspirational People<\/strong><br \/>\nInternational students from China, Japan and Korea introduce participants to the lives and achievements of memorable African Americans, American women, Native Hawaiians and Native Americans through poster sessions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kyudo: Zen Archery of Japan<\/strong><br \/>\nGuest performers and <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa students Ai Oyama and Takatsugu Shibayama will demonstrate live target shooting and discuss archery in Japan, which dates back to prehistoric times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sevillanas: A Treasured Dance of Spain<\/strong><br \/>\n<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr> Spanish students present Sevillanas, believed to be derived from old Castillian folk dances and a very popular dance for couples of all ages in Spain.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Khanate of the Golden Horde<\/strong><br \/>\nChristopher Greyworld and members of the Golden Horde demonstrate survival skills necessary on the steppes in Mongolio. Wearing traditional Mongolian clothing, this cultural group is dedicated to preserving the cultural traditions of Mongolians.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Music and Dance of Tahiti<\/strong><br \/>\nGuest performers from Te Vevo Tahiti no M&#257;noa, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa&#8217;s Tahitian Dance Ensemble will present songs and dances from the island of Tahiti in an exhilarating performance of expressive culture.<\/li>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin:0 0 15px 15px;\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rOE3GuFbQWM\" title=\"YouTube video player\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<emi>Eternal Zero&#8211;View more trailers at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/international-festival-films\/\"><span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>&#8217;s<br \/> International Festival Films website<\/a>\n<\/emi><\/div>\n<li><stsrong>International Film Nights<br \/>\nEvery evening of the festival, <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr> will screen an international film in the <span aria-label=\"Ohia\">&#699;\u014chi&#699;a<\/span> Auditorium&#8212;Japanese language film <a href=\"http:\/\/news.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/27th-annual-international-festival-film-eternal-zero\/\"><em>Eternal Zero<\/em><\/a> (2013), Chinese language film <a href=\"http:\/\/news.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/27th-annual-international-festival-film-beijing-meets-seattle\/\"><em>Beijing Meets Seattle<\/em><\/a> (2013), Thai language film <a href=\"http:\/\/news.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/27th-annual-international-festival-film-a-crazy-little-thing-called-love\/\"><em>A Crazy Little Thing Called Love<\/em><\/a> (2010), and Japanese language film <a href=\"http:\/\/news.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/27th-annual-international-festival-film-dearest\/\"><em>Dearest<\/em><\/a> (2012).
