University departments, offices and programs in need of stationery and business cards are advised to contact the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Correctional Industries print shop directly.<\/p>\n<h2><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Correctional Industries print services<\/h2>\n<p>While use of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Correctional Industries is not mandated, it is the recommended vendor. <abbr>HCI<\/abbr> is the only non-university printer with the official design templates and will follow the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/eaur\/graphicsguide.html\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr><abbr> Graphics Standards<\/abbr><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><abbr>HCI<\/abbr> has all the official <abbr>UH<\/abbr> seals and signatures in the appropriate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/eaur\/colorseals.pdf\">campus colors<\/a> (<abbr>PDF<\/abbr>). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/eaur\/layoutsample.pdf\">See a sample stationery layout<\/a> (<abbr>PDF<\/abbr>).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <abbr>HCI<\/abbr> will provide samples to Creative Services, which will continue to monitor operations for quality assurance.<\/p>\n<h2>Ordering information<\/h2>\n<p>To order stationery or business cards&#8212;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/eaur\/procedures.pricelist.pdf\">revised procedures and price list<\/a> (<abbr>PDF<\/abbr>).<\/li>\n<li>Include email, phone and fax numbers of requisitioner on the purchase order.<\/li>\n<li>Contact Honolulu Correctional Industries with questions or to obtain price estimates; phone (808) 485-5163, fax (808) 485-3581.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Rush orders<\/h2>\n<p>In general, digital printing, which is of lesser quality than offset printing, should be avoided. However, digital printing may be an option when business cards are needed in small quantities or more quickly than the time required for offset printing. <\/p>\n<p>The Curriculum Research and Development Group&#8217;s Marketing and Publication Services operates a digital printshop on the M&#257;noa campus and provides services systemwide. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/crdg\/maps\/\">Contact <abbr>MaPS<\/abbr> for pricing information<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Electronic stationery files<\/h2>\n<p>Because desktop printing of letterhead is of lesser quality than offset printing, use should be limited to internal communications. Electronic letterheads must comply with the official design templates in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/eaur\/graphicsguide.html\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr><abbr> Graphics Standards<\/abbr><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain an electronic letterhead file, send a requesting memo signed by the respective dean, director or chair with a sample of existing print letterhead (or typed letterhead information) to Bachman Annex 2.
