Leeward Community College’s Joseph Tan<\/strong> and University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span>’s Erline Vasconcellos<\/strong> were honored with the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> President’s Award for Excellence in Building and Ground Maintenance.<\/p>\n

The award is given to an individuals who has exhibited sustained superior performance in a maintenance, landscaping, custodial or trucking position.<\/p>\n

Joseph Tan<\/h2>\n

Joseph Tan<\/strong> is a custodian at Leeward Community College.<\/a><\/p>\n

Tan is called the “energizer bunny” and the “Leeward McGyver” for his never-ending dedication to his work and his innovative solutions to campus custodial problems.<\/p>\n

His colleagues praise his efforts to go above and beyond his job duties with a positive attitude.<\/p>\n

Erline Vasconcellos<\/h2>\n

Erline Vasconcellos<\/strong> is the building and grounds supervisor at UH<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Vasconcellos is a dedicated worker who can sometimes be found on weekends working in the parking lots when there are fewer cars in the way.<\/p>\n

She is praised for her diligence, resourcefulness and commitment to making West Oʻahu<\/span> a safe, beautiful and well-maintained campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
