PACE Executive Director Susan Yamada<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship<\/a> (PACE<\/abbr>), located within the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business<\/a>, will host a new Inspiring Innovation Speaker Series beginning September 22. Established to encourage creative and global thinking, each event features an entrepreneur who will share his or her story of forging a startup, or a founder to provide insight about pioneering in a specific industry.<\/p>\n

The first event of the series will feature Liz Schwartz, owner of Coffee Talk, Inc. on Monday, September 22, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Campus Center Ballroom. She will share how she started the business and how the cafe has survived and thrived in an evolving, hyper-competitive marketplace for over 20 years.<\/p>\n

The series is sponsored by First Insurance Company of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We are pleased to host this speaker series that will bring outstanding entrepreneurs to campus,” said PACE<\/abbr> Executive Director Susan Yamada<\/strong>. “I appreciate First Insurance’s foresight and desire to inspire Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>’s students to think bigger and outside the box. I expect many students to be spurred into action to pursue their business ideas after being able to meet these successful individuals in person and hear their real-life stories.”<\/p>\n
