{"id":27160,"date":"2014-12-17T14:09:23","date_gmt":"2014-12-18T00:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/?p=27160"},"modified":"2021-10-15T16:26:13","modified_gmt":"2021-10-16T02:26:13","slug":"uh-manoa-launches-new-commercials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2014\/12\/17\/uh-manoa-launches-new-commercials\/","title":{"rendered":"<abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa launches new commercials"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p><em>December 17, 2014&#8212;Editor&#8217;s note: <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa produced a third commerical &ldquo;Explore the World,&rdquo; featuring student Marie MacDonald, which will begin airing in December.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M&#257;noa<\/a> has launched new commercials to promote the university that will air nationally on major television networks like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/\"><abbr>CBS<\/abbr> Sports<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/\"><abbr>ESPN<\/abbr><\/a> during Rainbow Warrior football games. They will also air on local <abbr>TV<\/abbr> stations, in movie theaters and on the Aloha Stadium and Stan Sheriff Center Arena jumbotrons.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Explore the World&rdquo; shows that anyone can participate in an &ldquo;away&rdquo; experience for a semester or year while earning credits that count towards graduation. Best yet, the cost is a little more than in-state tuition at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uXnrb82hvuA\" title=\"YouTube video player\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the commercials titled &ldquo;Network&rdquo; features Beau Yap and his family.
