The interview involved a general discussion of the current status of foster care in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, including an update on where foster care programs are at today and recent legislation related to foster care.<\/p>\n<p>Chandler also discusses issues related to foster care that have been addressed in recent years and issues that still need to be addressed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hpr2.org\/post\/foster-care-month-ian-osullivan-concert-female-editors-ruddigore\"><strong>Listen to the interview<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><abbr>HPR<\/abbr> asked Chandler to join a panel on foster care on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaiipublicradio.org\/talk\/townsquare\"><em>Town Square<\/em><\/a>. This segment will air on May 22 Thursday, 5&#8211;6 p.m.<\/p>\n<h2>More on Susan Chandler<\/h2>\n<p>Susan Chandler is director of the Public Policy Center and a public administration professor at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa. She is teaching courses in policy analysis, collaboration and grant writing and program evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>Chandler has been an active researcher in the area of child welfare and is a board member on EPIC Inc. Ohana, Juvenile Delinquency Alternative Initiative and Protecting <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>&#8217;s Ohana, Children Underserved, Elderly and Disabled.
