University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a> received the 2014 National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU<\/abbr>) Best Card Design Award during the 21st Annual NACCU<\/abbr> Conference<\/a> held in Chicago. Eddie Robles<\/strong>, director of Student Life Business Services, accepted the award on behalf of Student Life and Development’s<\/a> card office.<\/p>\n

The NACCU<\/abbr> Best Card Design Award, sponsored by TCF<\/abbr> Bank, is presented to the institution whose card design receives the most votes from NACCU<\/abbr> members from the United States, Canada and other countries around the world. In 2014, there were 13 campus cards nominated for best card design.<\/p>\n

The Mānoa One Card design features artwork from surf artist and UH<\/abbr> Mānoa bachelor of fine arts graduate Heather Brown<\/strong>. “Since graduating, I have been so proud to be a UH<\/abbr> Mānoa graduate and speak about my time there a lot. Mahalo to the students and staff for giving me the chance to put a little more aloha into the UH<\/abbr> Mānoa school experience.”<\/p>\n

The new Mānoa One Card<\/a>, which is currently being issued to all incoming UH<\/abbr> Mānoa students, faculty and staff, is slated to be distributed to more than 25,000 students over the next two years.<\/p>\n

Heather Brown lives on the North Shore of Oʻahu<\/span>. She works with various mediums including acrylics, woodcuts, screen prints and linocuts. Most of her inspiration comes from her love for the sea, nature, popular surf breaks, and the beauty of the islands. Heather is proud to represent women surfers and artists. <\/p>\n
