literature of reconciliation, forgiveness and healing and  emigrant\/immigrant and indigenous literature.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Frank Stewart<\/strong>, editor of <em>M&#257;noa<\/em>, a professor of English at the <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M&#257;noa<\/a>, and a recipient of the Elliot Cades Award for Literature, Whiting Writers Award, and <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Award for Literature, the state&#8217;s highest literary honor. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/malamalama\/audio\/stewart.mp3\">Listen to an interview Stewart gave to <abbr>UH<\/abbr>&#8217;s M&#257;lamalama magazine celebrating M&#257;noa&#8217;s 20th anniversary.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><strong>Katharine Beutner<\/strong>, author of the novel <em>Alcestis<\/em>, winner of the 2011 Edmund White Prize for Debut Fiction, and a professor of creative writing at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alexander Mawyer<\/strong>, co-editor of <em>V&#257;rua Tupu: New Writing from French Polynesia<\/em> and a professor at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/cpis\/\">Center for Pacific Islands Studies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shawna Yang Ryan<\/strong>, author of <em>Water Ghosts<\/em> (Penguin, 2009) and a professor of creative writing at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Pat Matsueda<\/strong>, managing editor of <em>M&#257;noa<\/em> and a recipient of the Elliot Cades Award for Literature.<\/li>\n<h2>More about M&#257;noa<\/h2>\n<p>The journal&#8217;s mission has been to encourage awareness and appreciation of the literary arts, particularly writing related to Asia and the Pacific;
