Hensel discussed next steps for the University Laboratory School partnership, the interim adoption of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/06\/25\/free-expression-and-uh-updated-tpm-policy\/\">Time, Place and Manner policy<\/a>, and the modernization of student housing, and highlighted several bright spots across the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> campuses, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/07\/12\/hale-noelani-demolition-future-student-housing\/\">demolition of Hale Noelani<\/a> to make way for modern student housing, massive research milestones at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/07\/06\/hoola-clinical-research-center-opens\/\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/06\/10\/transformative-5-million-nil-commitment\/\">$5-million investment in <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Athletics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She also recognized <abbr>UH<\/abbr> recipients of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/07\/16\/2026-governors-awards-nominees\/\">2026 Governor&#8217;s Awards for Distinguished State Service<\/a>, including the Employee
