The title run included the program\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/05\/02\/mens-volleyball-final-four-bound\/\">first <abbr>NCAA<\/abbr> Tournament match on its home court<\/a> at a sold-out Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center and concluded with rousing victories over Long Beach State and <abbr title=\"University of California\">UC<\/abbr> Irvine.<\/p>\n<p>Along the way from the soccer team\u2019s opener in mid-August through the <abbr>NCAA<\/abbr> Track and Field First Round in late May, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> student-athletes continued to rack up national and conference honors, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2025\/12\/19\/matsuzawa-consensus-all-american\/\">Kansei Matsuzawa becoming the first consensus All-American<\/a> in the football program\u2019s 109 years of competition.<\/p>\n<p>The department also bid aloha to three longtime coaches with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/04\/29\/ah-mow-steps-down-womens-volleyball-head-coach\/\">Robyn Ah Mow<\/a> (women\u2019s volleyball), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/03\/30\/beeman-announces-retirement\/\">Laura Beeman<\/a> (women\u2019s basketball) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/06\/15\/uh-sailing-coach-andy-johnson-retires\/\">Andy Johnson<\/a> (sailing) stepping away from their roles. The 2025&#8211;26 campaign also marked the farewell season to the Big West for 14 teams before joining the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> football team in the Mountain West effective July 1.<\/p>\n<p><a
