She added that the university is having productive conversations with legislators and recognizes the challenges they face in balancing many urgent needs for <span lang=\"haw\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/04\/14\/giving-day-2026-commitment\/\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Giving Day<\/a>, which generated more than $1.3 million from more than 1,580 gifts across the 10 campuses.<\/p>\n<p>Hensel concluded by congratulating the No. 6 ranked <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa women\u2019s water polo team on advancing to its third consecutive <abbr>NCAA<\/abbr> national championship tournament appearance after <a href=\"http:\/\/hawaii.edu\/news\/2026\/04\/13\/water-polo-3rd-straight-title\/\">winning the Big West Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legislative
