University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo softball player Janessa Santos was named PacWest Pitcher of the Week after defeating Chaminade with a one-hit shutout.<\/p>\n

Santos threw a complete-game, 7-inning shutout against rival Chaminade, allowing just one hit, one walk and she struck out seven. Santos gave up just one second-inning single and wrapped up the contest on 83 pitches. She induced four flyouts and 10 ground outs, including three right back to her. Santos is now 2\u20130 on the season with a 1.78 ERA<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n
