University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa softball<\/a> pitcher Taryn Irimata was voted Big West Pitcher of the Week following an impressive Rainbow Wahine debut at the Bank of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Paradise Classic.<\/p>\n

The sophomore transfer went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA<\/abbr> over 14 innings, throwing complete-game wins against SeattleU<\/abbr> and Pacific while allowing just one run in each outing. Irimata held opponents to a .143 batting average, walked four and struck out nine.<\/p>\n

Irimata began her collegiate career at Nevada before transferring to UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa in the fall. She opened the season by allowing three hits against SeattleU<\/abbr>, then followed with seven strikeouts while giving up four hits against Pacific.<\/p>\n
