The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> will hold the 2nd Annual Hawaii Sustainability in Higher Education Summit<\/a> at Windward Community College<\/a>, March 13–15. The summit is a three-day conference for work planning, program sharing and skill building for sustainability for the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> 10-campus system and higher education colleagues at Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Pacific University<\/a>, Brigham Young University—Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a> and Chaminade University<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The summit is organized by a collaborative group of faculty, staff, students and administrators throughout the state, and supported by the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> System<\/a> and Vice-President for Community Colleges John Morton<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The summit will engage participants in four tracks including policy and planning, program sharing (curriculum, operations, green workforce development and sustainable businesses), skill building and service projects and student leadership.<\/p>\n

Student members of the newly launched statewide Student Sustainability Coalition of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/a> will organize a student forum to share their experiences in working towards more sustainable campuses and to organize around cross-campus sustainability projects.<\/p>\n
