Several works by University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa students and alumni are now on view at Capitol Modern: the Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> State Art Museum in downtown Honolulu. Two portrait exhibits, Contemporary Portraiture: Art in Public Places<\/em> and Schaefer Portrait Challenge<\/em>, are open through July 4. Admission is free.<\/p>\n

Contemporary Portraiture: Art in Public Places<\/em><\/h2>\n

Two pieces in Contemporary Portraiture<\/em> were purchased from UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2019s 2024 Master of Fine Arts (MFA<\/abbr>) thesis show, Still Standing.<\/p>\n

      The works in Contemporary Portraiture<\/em> are part of the Art in Public Places Collection of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, a long-standing program that places art in public buildings to broaden access for everyone.<\/p>\n
