The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa women\u2019s water polo<\/a> team was voted first in the Big West Preseason Coaches\u2019 Poll, positioning the Rainbow Wahine as early favorites heading into the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

The team totaled 45 points and received five first-place votes in the poll with Long Beach State earning a close second with 44 points and two first-place votes. Daisy Logtens, Ema Vernoux and Agatha Weston were also named to the Big West Preseason Coaches Team.<\/p>\n

Logtens earned her second consecutive preseason selection following a standout 2025 campaign. She received ACWPC<\/abbr> All-America Third Team and All-Big West First Team honors after recording 209 saves and 35 steals, earning Big West Championship MVP<\/abbr> honors during a dominant postseason run.<\/p>\n

Vernoux, the reigning Big West Freshman of the Year, led the Rainbow Wahine with 78 goals and 98 points in 2025 while earning All-America honorable mention recognition. Weston returns after redshirting last season and previously earned All-Freshman Team honors in 2024.<\/p>\n

Led by second-year head coach James Robinson, the defending Big West champions open the 2026 season on January 17, at the Fresno State Polopalooza in Fresno, California.<\/p>\n
