The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa football team<\/a> has accepted an invitation to play in the 2025 Sheraton Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bowl, Christmas Eve, at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex. The Rainbow Warriors (8-4) will make their 11th all-time appearance in the bowl game and will face California of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC<\/abbr>).<\/p>\n

Kick-off is 3 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN<\/abbr>. This is the nation\u2019s only bowl game on December 24. Tickets are currently on sale both online<\/a> and at the UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Ticket Office.<\/p>\n

Representing the Mountain West, UH<\/abbr> Mānoa received a bowl bid for the first time since the 2021 Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bowl, a game that was later cancelled due to the pandemic. This year marks UH<\/abbr> Mānoa\u2019s 16th all-time bowl bid and first under head coach Timmy Chang, who as a Rainbow Warrior quarterback, competed in the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bowl twice and was the game\u2019s Most Outstanding Player both times (2003 and 2004).<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s nothing more fitting than Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> in the Sheraton Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bowl,” Chang said. “I\u2019ve been fortunate to play in the game during my playing career, and it truly is one of the best bowl games in the country. It\u2019s the only game on Christmas Eve, and everyone is watching, which will showcase not only our program but our university and the state of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>. I can\u2019t wait for our players to experience the game and the bowl week activities, and what better opponent than the Cal Bears.”<\/p>\n

The Golden Bears (7-5) won two of their final three games to become bowl eligible and finish in a tie for seventh place in the ACC<\/abbr>. Former UH<\/abbr> Mānoa head coach and Rainbow Warrior quarterback Nick Rolovich is Cal\u2019s interim head coach who led the Bears to a 38-35 victory over No<\/abbr>. 21 SMU<\/abbr> to close out the regular season.<\/p>\n

Chang and Rolovich were teammates during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.<\/p>\n
