This year\u2019s University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> foodbank drive raised $42,183 in monetary donations and 4,652 pounds of food for 2025. According to the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank, the university\u2019s contribution equals nearly 95,000 meals that the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank is able to provide.<\/p>\n

“Once again, our UH<\/abbr> ʻohana demonstrated their generosity and concern for their community,” said UH<\/abbr> President Wendy Hensel. “Every donation makes a difference, and I am proud to be a part of such a caring and compassionate community.”<\/p>\n

The issue of hunger continues to be a major challenge facing the community, affecting those most vulnerable, and the impact of contributions to the Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank will not go unnoticed by those in need within the community.<\/p>\n

The Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Foodbank campaign during the spring semester is one of two annual fundraisers approved for State of Hawai\u02bbi offices. The Aloha United Way fundraiser takes place during the fall semester.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
