Upon completion, students earn 12 college credits, which are recorded on their official University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> transcripts, providing a pathway to further education and future careers.<\/p>\n<p>At the ceremony, Shinsato applauded all the graduates for their hard work and growth.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I\u2019m really, really proud of you guys,&rdquo; Shinsato said. &ldquo;You guys did a really good job. I can see it in your guys\u2019 eyes that you are proud of yourselves, and I think that\u2019s a big, big deal. You should be proud of yourselves for what you\u2019ve accomplished.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The graduates prepared savory dishes and sweet desserts. The menu included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Somen taco salad<\/li>\n<li>Giardiniera salad<\/li>\n<li><abbr>BBQ<\/abbr> kalua pork quesadillas<\/li>\n<li>Spam raisu<\/li>\n<li>Lo mai gai<\/li>\n<li>Beef moussaka<\/li>\n<li>Stuffed eggplant<\/li>\n<li>Honey walnut chicken<\/li>\n<li>Cream cheese tiramisu<\/li>\n<li>Watergate salad<\/li>\n<li>Blueberry cream cheese scones<\/li>\n<li>&ldquo;Pineapple sorbet&rdquo; plantation berry iced tea<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The graduates\u2019 family members and loved ones attended the celebration, in addition to <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (<abbr>DCR<\/abbr>) officials, social service providers and community partners. Guests included <abbr>DCR<\/abbr> Director Tommy Johnson, <abbr>DCR<\/abbr> Deputy Directors Melanie Martin and Sanna Mu\u00f1oz, and <abbr>WCF<\/abbr> Warden Sean Ornellas.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This program truly reflects the mission of the department: to rehabilitate those in our custody and help transform their lives.
