said Chris Bailey, <abbr>WVAPDC<\/abbr> manager.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers include Bailey, Leeward <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr> Chancellor Carlos Pe\u00f1aloza, State Sen. Donovan M. Dela Cruz, and Hiperbaric experts Mario Gonz\u00e1lez-Angulo and Daniela Soto Castro.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This summit highlights Leeward\u2019s commitment to equipping <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s food innovators with state-of-the-art technology that enables them to expand into new markets with an extended shelf-life and premium offering,&rdquo; said Pe\u00f1aloza.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for July 17 are $100 before June 15 and $200 after. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leeward.hawaii.edu\/hppsummit\">Register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Community College Product Development Summit&#8212;July 18<\/h2>\n<p>This invite-only session for <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Community College faculty, staff and leadership will focus on how other campuses across <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> will support value-added food innovation initiatives with educational programs and processing equipment, with <abbr>WVAPDC<\/abbr> as a resource hub for the larger effort.<\/p>\n<p>It includes sessions on food concepts, equipment, regulatory pathways and shared resources.<\/p>\n<p>A notable example is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2025\/05\/01\/wahiawa-value-added-product-development-center\/\">&#699;\u0100ina to M\u0101keke<\/a>&#8212;a 12-week food business course that equips participants with the skills to scale home recipes into market-ready food products.
