University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa Athletics<\/a> set a new record all-sport single-year mark of 987 in the Academic Performance Rate (APR<\/abbr>) for the academic year 2023–24 released by the NCAA<\/abbr>. The score is an average of all UH<\/abbr> sports and based on 1,000.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr>‘s all-sport score of 987 surpassed the previous all-time high of 986 set in 2019–20. Ten teams posted perfect single-year scores, the most since the 2018–19 year, when 11 teams earned 1,000.<\/p>\n

Six teams recorded multi-year scores (scores from the past four academic years) above their sports’ national average—men’s swim and dive (996), men’s tennis (990), women’s basketball (995), softball (990), women’s soccer (992), and women’s volleyball (995).<\/p>\n

The APR<\/abbr> is calculated based on the number of student-athletes on scholarship and those who are retained and remain eligible for competition.<\/p>\n

Teams with a four-year score below 930 or a 950 average over the most recent two years, can be penalized by a loss of scholarships and post-season ban. For the 17 years in a row, no UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa team will be penalized with a loss of scholarship.<\/p>\n
