University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> President Wendy Hensel will host a second open, live-streamed forum on Monday, April 21 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Campus Center Ballroom. The forum aims to provide an update on the impact of ongoing federal policy changes and the university’s response.<\/p>\n

The event will begin with a brief presentation by Hensel, followed by a question-and-answer session. Questions will be taken from both in-person attendees and virtual participants to encourage wide participation across the UH<\/abbr> System\u2019s 10 campuses.<\/p>\n

“We continue to see policy changes and directives coming at a rapid clip from Washington,” said Hensel. “It is important to keep the conversation going with our community, share what we know, and outline the steps we\u2019re taking to safeguard our students and the university.”<\/p>\n

The forum is open to the entire UH<\/abbr> community. Questions can be submitted in advance<\/a>. The event will be live-streamed<\/a> (Password: 318964), and viewers can ask questions using the livestream\u2019s Q<\/abbr>&A<\/abbr> feature. Attendees at the UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Campus Center Ballroom will also be able to participate in the Q<\/abbr>&A<\/abbr> session.<\/p>\n

Hensel held her first forum on March 13<\/a>, following a series of executive orders and federal directives from the new administration that signaled significant shifts in higher education policy. The April 21 event offers a second opportunity for UH<\/abbr> students, faculty, and staff to hear directly from the president and ask questions about what lies ahead.<\/p>\n
