The fair offered a dynamic opportunity for students to explore clear and guided pathways to the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa.<\/p>\n<p>The event proved valuable for <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr> student Annie Pham, who is earning an associate\u2019s degree in natural science with a concentration in information and computer sciences. She plans to pursue a bachelor of science in computer science at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was blown away by how welcoming and informative every representative was,&rdquo; Pham said. &ldquo;I learned more about other majors offered at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa and ones that I could minor in. It was, hands down, one of the most valuable experiences I\u2019ve had. I have the confidence and knowledge to make the right choices once I transfer to <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past five years, more than 2,700 <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr> students have transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/westoahu.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Hilo<\/a>&#8212;making the college one of the largest transfer feeders in the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> System.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> Community College has a strong track record of successfully preparing students for transfer to four-year institutions,&rdquo; said Chancellor Misaki Takabayashi. &ldquo;While many students pursue transfer from liberal arts and natural science, a growing number are also advancing from programs traditionally considered career and technical education.
