One hundred fifteen University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo Vulcans were honored for excellence in the classroom at the university\u2019s seventh annual reception on April 8.<\/p>\n

The Vulcans were recognized for maintaining a cumulative GPA<\/abbr> of 3.3 or higher through the fall 2024 semester, showcasing their commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.<\/p>\n

Mason Cook, a junior catcher on the Vulcans baseball team<\/a> with a 4.0 GPA<\/abbr>, was chosen as the scholar-athlete speaker for the event. Colby Miyose, UH<\/abbr> Hilo assistant professor of communication, was recognized with the Vulcans Faculty Appreciation Award for his contributions to the academic community.<\/p>\n
