Ten academic disciplines at <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa achieved high rankings, including top 200 world status in education, arts and humanities, and physical sciences. These rankings are among the most recognized global assessments of academic and research excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Among <a href=\"https:\/\/research.com\/universities-colleges\/university-statistics\">more than 25,000 colleges and universities worldwide<\/a>, four out of the 10 ranked <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa subjects placed in the world\u2019s top 1&#37; (within top 250 in the world), while the others placed in the world\u2019s top 2&#8211;4&#37; (between top 251&#8211;1,000).<\/p>\n<p><abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa subjects\u2019 world ranking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education studies: <abbr title=\"Number\">No<\/abbr>. 126&#8211;150<\/li>\n<li>Physical sciences: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 126&#8211;150<\/li>\n<li>Arts and humanities: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 176&#8211;200<\/li>\n<li>Life sciences: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 201&#8211;250<\/li>\n<li>Social sciences: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 251&#8211;300<\/li>\n<li>Psychology: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 301&#8211;400<\/li>\n<li>Medical and health: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 301&#8211;400<\/li>\n<li>Business and economics: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 401&#8211;500<\/li>\n<li>Engineering: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 501&#8211;600<\/li>\n<li>Computer science: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 601&#8211;800<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Times Higher Education<\/em> considers the following factors for its rankings: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry income and international outlook.
